Feasibility study for water access, sanitation, and infrastructure management in Bassar 4 (Togo)

The study project for drinking water access and sanitation in the Bassar 4 district, Togo, continues to roll out according to the planned schedule.

 

 

𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡:

The district organized an official launch ceremony on November 27, 2025. Attendees included residents from the target villages, the District Mayor, the Prefect of Bassar, and a representative of the Regional Director of Education for Kara. Local media covered the event, highlighting the project’s significance to local authorities.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬

Construction of the latrines at Sanda Kagbanda High School is well underway:

  • Foundations are complete.
  • Wall elevation (masonry work) is currently in progress.

Additionally, a technical mission is being organized for within the next two months to conduct pumping tests.

In an effort to raise awareness and share knowledge, a request has been sent to the Maison Écocitoyenne in Bordeaux to host an event in May 2026 focused on water and sanitation challenges.

 

 

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭:

This 12-month project will deliver the following results:

  • 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭: Benefiting 𝟔,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 by the year 2044.
  • 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝟏): Improving sanitary conditions for 𝟔𝟐𝟑 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟑𝟐 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬.
