Following the validation of specifications and cost estimates, a formal commitment has been signed with the firm SCM BTP for the well-drilling operations. All received quotes have been analyzed and approved, allowing the project to move forward. SCM BTP is now officially contracted to carry out the works.

Phase 5 of the Tomety project will benefit nearly 6,000 people in 2025, reaching approximately 9,000 people by 2045 across six villages: Agodomé, Kokouhoe, Houglo, Atatikope, Temanou, and Bedjeme.

Currently, existing systems do not provide sufficient access to safe water. Residents often spend 1 to 2 hours traveling to collect water that is sometimes unsafe for consumption. Many rely on low-quality, insufficient wells, travel to distant villages (over a kilometer away), or draw water directly from streams.

Hydraulique Sans Frontières extends its sincere gratitude to the Descroix-Vernier Foundation and a generous private donor whose support makes this project possible.
